Back to Highbridge

Well after the trip to Highbridge Caravans yesterday we thought we would have a quiet day on site as the weather might be OK, only we woz wrong.
It was a little damp in the morning following one hell of a storm overnight and we were glad we had not brought the little porch awning which cannot handle strong winds as last time we used it we had to get up at two o'clock in the morning to take it down in the pouring rain and strong winds to avoid it damaging the caravan.Anyway Noel decided he had better the instruction on how to set up and use the new main water connecter and so reading the instructions we came across a lot of negatives such as turn off the water before going to bed or leaving the caravan alone. The reason for this is that there might be a risk of the unit failing and flooding the caravan but the existing system we have this cannot happen and it only requires a flip of a switch inside the van rather than going outside and turning off and an on as required. So after a few minutes thinking about it we decided lets stick with what we have and so back to Highfield Caravan we went to return the unit and get our money back.

On the way home we dropped in the a rather large Asda in Burnham on sea and so Jennifer popped in to get some new duvet covers for the caravan and was very successful and they were not expensive to boot. We got home mid afternoon and the rain was on and off but still Noel was hoping to BBQ some lamb chops we had purchased from Morrisons earlier in the week and so by about 5.30 pm the sun was sort of shining and it was not to windy and so off he BBQued to his little hearts content holding on the the BBQ with one hand whilst the other a glass of white wine. The chops were pretty damn good although a littler fatty as the BBQ seemed rather covered in it and so it needs a clean tomorrow morning.  At around 6.30 we had a video chat with Joanne an the grandchildren which is always good to do and then watched the Canadian Grand Prix F1 qualifying on the PC and connecting to the more expensive site Wi-Fi connections. It was  a close thing and Vettel seemed to finally come good as he has had a bad season but must remember he  and Ferrari are  prone to making some rather silly technical or strategic errors and so I still think that Hamilton could win. Glad to see the two McLarens in Q3 as they have been an embarrassment to Woking for the past couple of years, its amazing what can happen when heads roll, lets see what happens Williams who are having a disastrous season.
And so to be for an early night as the forecast for next Monday when we are due to leave the site is poor with lots of rain and so want to get as much prepared for our leaving before it rains tomorrow.,
