A visit to Clarks Village Shopping Village

Following breakfast and the as the weather seemed ok, we changed our plans for a trip to Glastonbury for a trip to the Clarks Shoe  Outlet Shopping Village in the town of Street.
The village was developed some years ago after Clarks Shoes UK Home in Street decided initially to open a shop selling some of their old stock and from there with the interest being shown elsewhere in Outlet Shopping Malls across the world, Clarks decided as the High Street was showing sins of going downhill to take over a large area and ands start an outlet mall for all the many brands.

There must be over 100 shops in a large well gardened area with not only the usual names of Marks and Spencer, and Phase 8 etc and many well shoe names like Sketchers and so on. So we spent some time wandering around the shops and we both purchased some basics from M & S before heading back to sandwich shop for as light lunch. The weather had remained pretty much ok, not hot, but a comfortable walking temperature.
We planned to BBQ some burgers and sausages as the weather looked Ok at around 18.00 but shortly afterwards black clouds appeared along with heavy rain and so no BBQ tonight . So Jennifer cooked the Wagu beef burgers and Cumberland sausages and together with a light salad it was a pleasant meal. For the rest of the evening we caught up with some old BBC I-player programs.
We have to be up a little earlier tomorrow as the valeting company is appearing at around 09.30 to give the caravan a good wash and wax polish.
