A day of rest

We were both quite tired after the French trip and then on top of that getting ready for the caravan trip to Somerset and we decided that as we had enough food and rations that we would spend the day with final sorting of the caravan and visiting around the site.
This site is amazing and so well organised and we discovered they offer a store and stay programme where you leave your caravan here in secure compound and then give them a call for when you visit next time and they put the caravan on site ready for you and it avoids having to drag the caravan here. So we have put our name on the waiting list but it could be a long time before we can get a space but in the meantime keep our fingers crossed.

The site is on the side of a hill with good views all around but some locations have better views than others and so we spent about an hour walking around looking at locations and then at the caravan site shop and also the small lounge with TV which guests can use. As mentioned previously the washroom facilities are incredibly good and plentiful and we did not realise that there was a block only about thirty yards from our caravan and hidden behind some stress and with a view down over the valley we are delighted to be here.
In the evening Jennifer cooked up some chicken breast’s and and we made a salad which was really nice as we had such a late breakfast we decided to only have a cup of tea and a biscuit mid afternoon and so the dinner was well timed for around 19.00. One negative about many sites offering free Wi-Fi is that it is extremely slow and the same applies here although they do have a paid for alternative which is about twenty times faster as we anted to stream some Netflix and other stuff but the free Wi-Fi can only offer around 0.5 meg which is nowhere good enough for streaming and so in the afternoon Noel checked the paid for Wi-Fi and found that if ran at about 10 meg which would be suitable and set that up for an evening watching a film.
So after the film at around 22.30 we tucked ourselves in to bed and both slept well
