A trip to Wells and Glastonbury

We usual plan to have a day touring and a day at home and so we discussed this morning what we would do over the next few days based upon the state of the weather, local market closing of towns , and what about looking at other caravan sites and not to forget a trip the the Clarks Village Shopping in Street.
So first thing in the morning after breakfast, albeit rather a late one due to the need to empty the cassette loo and put it in a special cleaning machine and also sort out the car to stop stuff rolling about inside and so based on the earlier criteria we decided to head for Wells and visit the famous Cathedral and as it was not due to to rain today we though that would be nice and then do some shopping on the way back to the site later in the day. The visit to Wells was very nice and the Bishops Place and the Cathedral were both most impressive and we spent a good hour taking photos and looking at all the dead bishops lying on their coffins, well actually the stone versions laying on the coffins.
The Cathedral is worth a visit should you get time and to obtain more information please look at at following internet link    https://www.wellscathedral.org.uk/history/timeline/
We had a light lunch, well Noel did, as Jennifer's quiche was quite large and supported well by a lot of salad whilst Noel had the rather small baked potato with smoked salmon as they had run out of prawns.

In the meantime the rain started and according to the weather forecast this was not expected and so it would be to wet to walk around anymore and so we headed back to the car to decide what to do next.
There was another Tranquil sites we had looked at near Bath and so we decided to head over and take a look and it is nowhere near as good as the site were are on currently so glad we made the choice we did. In view of the rain we decided to head back to Morrison's in Glastonbury for some shopping and then back to the caravan for a quiet TV evening and something to eat.

We watched a couple of programmes about people with lots of cash who have most expensive holidays all year round and just shows what amateurs the groves are .
