We left home around 0800 for the track and arrived with plenty of time to spare as the cops were controlling everything and doing not bad job.
Our hosts had though connections been able to obtain four tickets for us to go to the VIP lounge which we did as apart from great views their was also free booze and food.
We spent the day watching the cars practise and the sound is quite exhilarating and you definitely need ear plugs to keep the sound away. The teams were all testing tyres and set ups and it was a really a great place to watch the action. By late afternoon the action was slowing and we were all invited to other friends of John and Denise who we had met earlier as they have one of these big American RV's about 40 feet long and this thing contains everything you possibly need. We stayed for some while and enjoyed some chile and beer before getting a lift back to the car park on their buggy. Dick you to have a senior role at Dell and now he is retired he spends time in his RV and also has two cars for racing.
We got back home to Georgetown and pretty much went to bed straight away after watching a little TV.
Tomorrow we have to be up a little earlier so ass to get to the track on time.
