We planned a late'ish departure from San Antonio to miss the morning commuter traffic but soon after 1000 we left the hotel for the approx two hour drive en route. We planned a little shopping on the way to our friends who live in a very beautiful house in a lovely area called Georgetown where we arrived around 1400 pm.
Not long after we were checking out some Chardonnay and shrimp before heading down town to see a show called Esther Follies , which we have visited last time we were here, but wanted to go again. Friends of John had suggested meeting at a farm which was holding a special event but the food was not available when we arrived and so we left for a nice Italian restaurant in town.
We had a really great evening at the Follies and boy could they do well in London and it has a real fixture of current and historic content, not really rude but near the knuckle sometimes.
Then a quick diversion to pick up some special tickets for the GP from DHL who have a box and so we did this and headed home for an early night as tomorrow would be an early one as well.
At least the weather for the next few days looks good with blue skies and temperatures around 20 degrees C, Ideal for watching sport.
