We arose and the sky was rather grey although some is promised for a little later in the day. I forgot to mention in yesterdays blog that when we checked in it would appear that when I made the bookings for the two night stay in the Hotel they had decided for reasons unknown to us to upgrade our room for the second night here and so would we mind changing after the first night. Not being aware what they were offering and yet we said yes. So this morning after breakfast we went to see the front desk to find out what the arrangements were and were asked if we could move at around 1045 as the room should be ready then.
The room we had already was very nice with a balcony although it overlooked the car park and the roof of the kitchen and s we repacked our stuff and moved to what turned out to be a one room suite so bedroom and separate room as a lounge with a nice view over the golf course, wow how did we get this??? see photos…
Well we are almost at the end of our European Adventure having driven about 2500 miles or so and was it worth it, YES most defiantly but perhaps if we do it again we have learnt that one night stays are not sufficient to allow for sightseeing and so perhaps we would always plan at least 4/5 days in a place and then move on. T he weather as I am typing this is looking a bit brighter with some sun and blue sky slowly appearing although rain is expected here tonight and all of the next few days and so we will have to leave early from this place to ensure we get to the Hook of Holland .
I think we are not continuous eat outer’s and so in the evening we retrieved one of our last bottles of Costco wine and ordered some room service and enjoyed a meal in the room. Noel then connected the PC to the big tv in the bedroom and so we watched a programme on Five Mile Island Nuclear Plant for a while and then some other stuff on You Tue before turning in for the night
