We awoke at
a reasonable time and had a quitre morning after visiting Courmeilles town Carrefour
for some milk and various other foodstuffs.
We still
had some sorting out to do and spent about one hour packing up empty bags from
chairs and tables etc and generally making the site look tidy and then enjoyed
a brief afternoon nap as Ingrid the owner was due to come and join us for an
early evening drink and snacks. So we had had a good chat about the problem of
the camp site sale to the new owners as suddenly the local council when being
notified of the sale have requested that the land be returned to farming land
and not tourist site. Typical local government trying to play big and tough and
as the site brings tourist to the area they cannot understand that after 40
years of tourist use they want to change it back.
In the
meantime they have had to spend some money on specific repairs requested by the
new owners however they are only buying the camp site sand not the Chateau, the
Creperie and swimming pool which will be retained by Ingrid and she will try to
sell separately. After Ingrid left we finished
up the open bottle of wine and went to bed and the outside temperature was
still very hot and tomorrow it will be the same again we understand.
