Well the weather this weekend has been really great and the temperatures hitting 27 Degrees Centigrade and so sitting in the sun and going for walks has been the name of the game for the past two days.
With the heat it makes it easier in Noel’s knees and so each morning we have been for a walk before breakfast which is the coolest time of the day,
evening can be cool but we are not sure what bugs are around and Jennifer and mosquitos are really not the best of friends. We did a quiet day around the pool on Saturday and then on Sunday a quick dash to the shops to get some milk and also get some fuel for the car, its so cheap here.
Using American Petrol stations with a UK credit card can be a pain as the machine asks you for a ZIP Code, Trip Advisor is full of suggestions how to overcome and we have tried most but this time thought I would try again. The US Zip Code is five numbers and where we are staying is Zip Code 33947 however using a combination of our UK Post Code numbers only so 138 I then added two Zeros making 13800 and low and behold it accepted the card, this is the first petrol station that I have been able to do so will return.
Sunday again was spent around the pool after the morning walk, and then some swimming and finally in the evening we had a BBQ with some great steaks from Publix, the local supermarket, together with some salad made for a a great day. On Sunday evening we watched another two episodes of the Crown where Charles was sent to Gordonstoun School in Scotland, where he was sent as a boy, and Philip does not come well out of this and is shown as a very poo father. In the film there is a cutback in time where Prince Philips parent died in an air crash and he was forced to walk behind the coffin with the streets lines with German Nazi’s and SS and even brown shirts and seemed to hate this. It makes one ponder then why he did the same with Diana’s boys??? The Royal Family do not comer well out of this.
With our Amazon Fire Stick giving access to YOUTUBE Noel can watch some of the football games taking place in the Uk within a couple of hours after the game so was able to watch the goals when Chelsea defeated Brighton..
Oh well another hard week ahead.
By the way who says FORD cars do not last.
