20th February 2015- An easy start to the day
It was a little grey and cloudy when we awoke so we decided to have slow start and not rush around as we have been doing for the past week. So by about 11.00 we were ready to leave the room and we chatted to the bell boy who collected our luggage from the room that apparently the complete McLaren team stay at this Hotel during the Austin F1 season and it is quite chaotic and all staff have to work and no time off to go look at the race.
In the ground floor of the hotel we had a croissant and drink and then walked down to the banks of the Colorado river and looked at the Four Season Hotel, which look nice and expensive and then back up in to town and back to the Hotel by about 1245. We collected our car and luggage and headed out of town to a Costco store for some shopping before then driving to our friends in Georgetown where we arrived around 15.30. The rest of the afternoon was spent catching up on our travels and then conversation turned towards evening food. Jen and I were happy to eat in and so we so Noel and John dashed back to Costco, ten minutes away, for some steaks and Alaskan Crabs legs and other lovely bits and pieces ready for the evening.
We had a slow dinner between courses and perhaps tippled a little too much wine and crept in to bed around midnight.
It was a lovely evening and we all enjoyed it very much.
Perhaps tomorrow will be another easy day as we could both do with it.
