We left the house and drove for about an hour and arrived in the foothills and climbed the mountain side and arrived in this lovely village which stands on the top of a hill. It is quite touristy and but we were able to get some really great views and so see the Phanfare photo blog for more.We had lunch in a super little restaurant which also had a shop attached which sold wines, fruit and some lovely orange flavoured olive oil. We had a slow drive back down the hill and then spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool to get ready for the evening event. Roger had booked us a German Restaurant on the open balcony and we all had a great steak and the German potatoes with onion and bacon etc and of course a few bottles of the local rioja wine. This was the last night for John and Lyn who would leave for the airport the next morning.
