Monday 20st September- A nice cycle along the beach

The weather is great at the moment and we awoke to bright sunlight and listened to BBC Radio Suffolk over breakfast and their campaign to get all the potholes filled in the roads of the County. It’s strange to hear one Government Dept chase another.

We rode our bikes along to the town again and this time spent some time looking at all the shops and restaurants and then came across a busy looking Fish and Chip shop so we joined the queue and then followed everybody else down to the seafront where you can sit on the sea wall and eat your food with hoards of seagulls waiting for

the leftovers. The lunch was excellent and as we headed back we visited a small ice cream parlour selling Bennett’s Home Made ice cream, it was really good. After a good walk we settled down for a quick rest sitting in the sun until around 6pm and then had a drive along the other way along the beach to a place called Thorpeness. This also seems like a nice place, by this time we were getting a little peckish and so headed back to Aldeburgh and had a single course at Prezzo’s which is a growing chain of Italian Restaurant.

We watched the weather forecast for the next few days and it looks really

positive with Wednesday expected to be the best day of the week and with rain due on late Thursday and Friday. Tonight was the start of the new series of ‘Spooks’ which is a great MI5/6 Series. A good day indeed.
