A grayish start to the day and later in the afternoon there is the world famous Superbowl game which will take place in Miami between Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints who are the underdogs.
Neighbours of John and Denise had invited us all over for the game with a bunch of other people and we would have gone only John was suffering badly with an allergy and decided not to attend and so Noel stayed behind to watch the game whilst the ladies toddled off to the party.
The pre-game stuff started on Saturday and by Sunday it was reaching fever pitch and with pregame bands and cheerleaders et al. The game finally started at around 5.30 pm and consists of four quarters of 15 minutes each and what with time outs, changing the players every few minutes and a half time which lasted almost 40 minutes and included and excellent performance from 'The Who' the game finally finished at around 9.30 with the New Orleans Saints winning by a good margin. The cameras cut to New Orleans and we watched the celebrations on Bourbon Street and I bet that was a fun night as this is the first time in 45 years that the Saints have got anywhere near the Superbowl and to win it was great.
After a little more TV off to bed.
